The volume Description: Theory, Literature, Image (Editors: Péter Hajdu, György C. Kálmán, János D. Mekis and Zoltán Z. Varga, Reciti Publishing), was developed from materials prepared for a comparative literature conference organized by the Faculty of Arts at University of Pécs on November 16–17, 2017.
More than thirty articles present exciting analyses of both theoretical and historical issues, as well as diverse approaches to description drawing from texts of modern Hungarian literature, world literature, theater, film and fine arts. The studies published in this volume also examine the development, characteristics and impact of description as a narrative category in the context of international and artistic disciplines.
